Overview

Element is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Accounting Transformation Manager to lead the modernization and migration of our Customer Facing Projects (CFP) processes. This role will be crucial in overseeing the implementation of innovative project accounting and operational solutions, including a global ERP migration, to improve operational efficiency across diverse business functions. The successful candidate will be instrumental in deploying Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations (D365 F&O), ensuring seamless integration with key systems, and optimizing customer projects workflows across the organization.

This is a hybrid position located in Blue Ash, Oh.



Responsibilities

    Lead Project Execution: Oversee the execution of migration initiatives, managing concurrent project tasks across multiple business units, ensuring timely and effective deployment of new solutions and processes.

  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with various global teams, including IT, Finance, Operations, and HR, to facilitate the transition and integration of Customer Facing Projects processes into D365 F&O.

  • System Integration & Optimization: Drive the integration of D365 F&O with other systems (such as LIMS, HRIS, CRM, and Data Lake) to ensure smooth and efficient project execution across the business.

  • Support Testing & Quality Assurance: Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) and regression testing, ensuring all system updates and project functionalities are properly validated before Go-Live.

  • Data Integrity Oversight: Oversee the validation and maintenance of data accuracy, ensuring high-quality project data is captured and processed.

  • Change Management Leadership: Lead the change management strategy to address process changes and cultural adaptation, ensuring a smooth transition for global teams and stakeholders.

  • Training & Knowledge Sharing: Support development and delivery of comprehensive training materials, including training sessions for internal teams, ensuring proper use of the new systems and processes.

  • Post-Go-Live Support: Provide ongoing post-deployment support, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring system stability and performance after Go-Live events.

  • Subject Matter Expert (SME): Serve as the SME for customer facing projects processes, providing expertise and guidance during the transition and beyond, ensuring long-term system success.

  • Process Documentation & SOPs: Contribute to the creation and implementation of customer facing projects-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • M&A Integration Support: Support the integration of newly acquired entities into the standard processes and systems for customer facing projects, ensuring smooth system transitions and data migration.



Skills / Qualifications

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Project Management Experience: 5+ years of experience managing and optimizing customer projects and related processes, including 2+ years in a leadership role within a transformation or ERP implementation initiative.

  • ERP System Expertise: Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O or other major ERP systems, with a focus on project accounting, customer projects, and financial operations.

  • Advanced Analytical Skills: Proven ability to analyze large datasets, derive insights, and make data-driven decisions that positively impact project outcomes.

  • Leadership & Collaboration: Experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with diverse stakeholders across business units.

  • Change Management Experience: Demonstrated ability to manage change, drive migrations, and lead teams through organizational shifts.

  • Communication & Influence: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and ensure timely resolution.

  • ERP Module Expertise: Familiarity with ERP modules such as Project Accounting, Cost Management, Procurement, Financial Management, and Resource Planning.

  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, adapting quickly to changes in project scope, requirements, and deadlines.

  • Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel up to 25% for both domestic and international project needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ISV Software Knowledge: Familiarity with ERP ISV extensions related to project management, such as resource planning tools, expense reporting, and project budgeting.

  • M&A Integration Experience: Previous experience supporting the integration of newly acquired companies into an ERP system.
