Inventory Distribution Key Person - Grade 12

Second Shift This is a union position




Essential Functions of the job:

Include but not limited to:

1. Using the inventory carousel system, induct kits for shop orders, customer orders, and purchase orders into the Pick Pro System, in support of the manufacturing schedule.

2. Verify received material into the carousel, and respond to hot job requirements.

3. Slot new items into the carousel based on the component frequency and maintain the carousel warehouse inventory.

4. Run cycle counts and confirm the cycle count results.

5. Perform transactions in IFS to accurately track all movement of material into and out of the carousel.

6. Operate the carousel efficiently to maximize the carousel output.

7. Train, coach, and direct the activities of other hourly employees on receiving parts, counting parts, and loading parts into the correct carousel locations by lot & batch number.

8. Control inventory following plant policies and procedures.

9. Maintain a minimum of 91% accuracy.

10. Complete and maintain all necessary paperwork (pick lists, etc.).

11. Responsible for shift schedule to include workstation assignments, rotations, employee training, and backup for absent employees.

12. Operate within Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).

13. Ensure a clean and safe workplace.

14. Assist in production as necessary.

15. Perform other related duties as assigned.

16. Support shipping operations: pack & wrap, foam packing

17. Support Receiving when required

18. Knowledge of Domestic Shipment paperwork is a plus

19. Forklift certified or willingness to become certified.

Skills and Education Required:

Experience in using a PC in a Windows operating system.

Ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel )insert data, insert functions, sort data, copy, paste, add columns and rows).

Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills are required at the high school graduate level.

Knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures, technology, and machinery.

2-5 years of inventory work experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Ability to move and lift to 50 lbs.

Able to work autonomously.
