Job Description

The position is based out of our Syracuse, NY; Albany, NY; Westford, MA; or Boston, MA office.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. No sponsorship is available for this position.

We invite you to bring your experience applying civil, geotechnical, and geoenvironmental engineering principles into play as you support the growth of Ramboll's Northeastern geotechnical engineering practice. At Ramboll, you will work on challenging and complex projects involving the permitting, management, remediation, modification, and closure of industrial waste impoundments, water and tailings dams, and contaminated sites.

Are you our new Civil / Geotechnical / Geoenvironmental Engineer?

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Performing geotechnical calculations including bearing capacity, settlement, slope stability, seismic and liquefaction assessments, pile capacities, etc.
  • Working with experienced Ramboll engineering and CAD staff to develop engineering drawings, technical specifications, and other design documents
  • Acting as the Technical Task Manager by independently leading tasks within a larger project team, under the direction of the Ramboll Project Manager
  • Implementing Ramboll's safety and quality management systems

About You:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Geological Engineering and 5+ years of relevant experience focused in geotechnical, geoenvironmental, and civil engineering
  • MS Degree and engineering design and cost estimating experience a plus
  • Ability to support the development of civil and geoenvironmental design projects
  • Ability to work semi-independently with limited, but regular, oversight from experienced Ramboll staff

At Ramboll, your base pay is only part of your overall total compensation package. At the time of this posting, this role is likely to be compensated at an annualbase salary between $96,677 - $120,846. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range, depending on numerous factors, includingexperience, geographical location, internal equity, market conditions, education/training andskill level, and does not include bonuses, overtime, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
