Your Opportunity:The Business Identity and Consumer Products Business Unit at Navitor, Inc. relies heavily on technology to market and sell our products. Our customers rely on our technology to support their business growth by leveraging our business systems to act as a conduit to obtain access to the depth and breadth of Taylor's manufacturing capabilities.

The Distributor Technology Internship is an exciting entry point to the Distributor Information Technology team to gain access to a live business environment to learn how Information Technology and eCommerce are leveraged as an enabler to achieve organizational objectives. The Distributor IT Internship will allow you to learn how a business operates and familiarize yourself with the dynamics associated to a company, have a chance to learn from and mentor with industry veterans and to gain hands-on experience by contributing to actual projects tied to the businesses' objectives. You will contribute to specific projects in the areas of Information Technology, eCommerce, Data Analytics and Project Management to grow your skillsets and help conclude projects that are important to the businesses' success. You will have a chance to meet and network with others within the Distributor IT Internship and the Taylor Organization that can help you as you plan for your entry to the workforce.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Gain access to live business environment to learn how Information Technology and eCommerce contribute to the success of the organization and how the business operates.
  • Mentor with industry veterans to build out exposure to leaders over different departments, and how those departments interact with Information Technology and eCommerce.
  • Perform a variety of duties and responsibilities as assigned for a function that has relevance to the academic major and future occupational interest.
  • Contributes to specific projects in the areas of Information Technology, eCommerce, Data Analytics, and Project Management to grow skillsets.
  • Effectively document and communicate the results of your efforts to gain confidence in writing and presenting business materials specific to your contributions.

Schedule

  • Monday - Friday, 8AM - 4PM CST

You Must Have:

  • 1-2 years of higher-level education in a related area or field.
  • Ability to collaborate with individuals at all levels within the organization.
  • Strong computer and web skills with an ability to learn new systems and tools quickly.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software (intermediate to expert level in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Teams).
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a detail-oriented approach.
  • Effective project and time management skills.
  • Possess strong problem-solving skills and independent decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment to meet regular deadlines.
  • A high degree of energy, initiative, and self-motivation.

The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $16.50. The actual base offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation's total compensation and benefits package for employee.
