Senior Manager, Product Planning Air(Remote)

Full time, Remote USA, Canada, Netherlands, Poland, Spain and United Kingdom

Key within your role is managing Air shopping & booking capabilities within our Travel Experience & Commerce platform. As we are expanding the capabilities of our Commerce platform we are looking for a real expert on Air, both from an agent as well as a traveler point of view. Air shopping includes everything from the access to content including GDS and Non GDS accessible content, business and client policies, the user/booker experience, to operational handling of air bookings.

As aSenior Manager, Product Planning Air, you will

  Monitor your product development project to ensure its on-scope and on-schedule

  
  
• 
  

  Support preparation of market introduction and hand-over to product delivery teams

  
  
• 
  

  Make sure your assigned products have sound business plans, including an analysis of product profitability, sales success, and pricing strategy

  
  
• 
  

  Collaborate with Technical Product Managers and the engineering teams to define, develop, and deliver great products and services, according to agreed priorities and timelines

  
  
• 
  

  Collaborate with business stakeholders of the products / services that you are responsible for, to understand how to better serve the business through improved product capabilities

  
  
• 
  

  Identify current market needs and possible future gaps in our offering and conduct feasibility studies to bring ideas forward

  
  
• 
  

  Define metrics to measure success, to then monitor the impact of what you delivered, to then learn, adjust, further enhance, and deploy

  
  
• 
  

  Building relationships with our vendors; listen to their thoughts and concerns and foster ways to work together

  
  
• 
  

  Documenting the workflow, technical development and configuration for support and product delivery teams

  
  

About you

• 
  

  Relevant work experience in business travel and/or travel management

  
  
• 
  

  GDS experience essential - Sabre and Amadeus

  
  
• 
  

  Thorough experience with Air content integrations, OTA standards, XMLAPI and NDCbeing able to manage successfully a content project from initial stage until production phase, collaborating with multiple teams

  
  
• 
  

  Thorough understanding of best practices in Air shopping & booking UI/UX

  
  
• 
  

  Thorough understanding of the operational processes around Air shopping & booking

  
  
• 
  

  Thorough knowledge about key Air content providers

  
  
• 
  

  Experienced in Agile development

  
  
• 
  

  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both in virtual and f2f environment

  
  
• 
  

  Ability to motivate yourself and be able to get up to speed quickly - functioning independently in a supportive team

  
  
• 
  

  Excellent time-management and project-management skills: you'll be constantly challenged to balance multiple initiatives, projects and perspectives

At BCD Travel we value you, our culture and success is defined by you. We carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors, including your professional background and experience. The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position ofSenior Manager, Product Planning - Air is between $85,000 and $100,000. The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience and geographical location.
