Job Overview/Summary: The Youth Education Specialist supports school-aged refugee youth and their families in a successful adjustment and transition to school. The specialist plans and implements youth education programs including but not limited to Youth Tutoring, Youth English for Speakers of Other Languages classes (YESOL), Leaders In Training (LIT - college access and career readiness for 11th and 12th graders) and support the planning and implementation of the Newcomer Youth Summer Academy (NYSA) and spring Mini-NYSA programs. The Youth Education Specialist will work closely with the Youth Education Supervisor to support high-quality people management of teaching staff, academic assessment implementation, and staff appreciation throughout the year-round program. During NYSA, the Youth Education Specialist will provide logistical support to teaching staff, coordinate instructional coaching, coordinate classroom assessment materials, collect, enter and analyze assessment data, and ensure the overall day-to-day classroom needs of the Academy are met. Major Responsibilities: Lead role for one of the following programs: Youth Tutoring, Youth English for Speakers of Other Languages and Leaders in Training programs
Co-lead the Mini Newcomer Youth Spring Academy (Mini NYSA) and the Newcomer Youth Summer Academy (NYSA), with direct responsibility for the academic program

Compensation: Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget.
