CDI Engineering Solutions, a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Consulting Engineers Limited (TCE), is a multi-disciplinary engineering organization offering a full range of integrated engineering design, project support, procurement and construction management services to the energy and chemicals industries. Position Summary Provides very special knowledge and judgment in the Electrical Engineering field. Performs advanced complex assignments, which require the application of engineering education, training, or experience under the close supervision of a Professional Engineer. Independently practices applying engineering principles in Electrical Engineering. Demonstrates a continuing consciousness of safety in daily activities. Analyzes and assists other lower level engineers with designs are needed. Performs engineering studies to evaluate customer needs and develop alternative solutions that will be technically sound and economically feasible. Keeps supervisor informed of progress. Responsibilities Prepares highly complex specifications detailing performance requirements, specific components, design requirements, applicable design codes, and vendor drawing requirements. Visits vendor facilities to inspect equipment for compliance with requirements. Visits jobsites to evaluate site, project requirements, and conditions. Supports field assignments as required. Mentors less experienced engineers, designers, and drafters. Supervises design personnel and other staff specialists. Participates in sales presentations. Prepares inquiry and purchase requisitions. Prepares bid tabulations on complex purchases. Reviews vendor drawings. Develops a focus on least cost, safe design. Ensures that project schedule and budget of assigned projects are maintained. Have knowledge and understanding of the cost elements of project in assigned discipline. Maintain and apply standards for quick budget estimates. Meets company quality assurance requirements. Must be able to perform the task in the lower classifications. Qualifications Minimum of 20 years of experience related to instrumentation and control systems. Professional Engineering license is Required or willing to acquire.
