Key Responsibilities

Proactively mine, build and identify freight savings and optimization opportunities for LTL and parcel.
*Lead cross-functional freight analytics efforts to determine freight profitability opportunities as it relates to shipment consolidation and how systems rate and assign freight at the order and cart level.
*Analyze LTL/UPS accessorials to ensure costs are updated and accurate for pre-shipment planning.
*Track and update mode accessorials via ticket entry to ensure costs are captured accurately during order creation stage; ensure freight costs are reflected properly for order profitability and margin targets.
*Review and resolve address correction charges with carrier and enhance systems as needed.
*Work with warehouse teams on order routings for freight mode alignment based on order volume, dimensions and weight.
*Builds and maintains carrier claims dashboard to monitor recovery percentage vs. claims filed.
*Leverage Power BI and 3PL data and dashboards to report out and own the data which supports all strategic freight initiatives.
*Liaison between Data-IT warehouse groups to pilot and create new Power BI reporting to enhance freight cost and freight margin analysis at aggregate and individual order levels.
*Provides key support as data owner for all freight continuous improvement projects and acts as system expert in pulling and summarizing carrier spend types for organization leaders and project stakeholders.
*Researches parcel invoicing by charge and account type and meet weekly/bi-weekly with third-party parcel auditing and analytics provider; identify parcel spend reduction opportunities.
*Collaborate as Transportation analytics key stakeholder across departments and leads and participates in supply chain cost improvement initiatives.
*Represents Supply Chain/Transportation department while attending internal/external stakeholder meetings.
*Performs all other duties assigned relating to data collection and reporting to support company goals.

Competencies and skills

*Minimum of 7-10 years in a Logistics Analytics or Transportation Analytics role and/or Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
*MBA a plus. ASCM certification preferred.
*Familiar with managing large shipment profiles and routing set ups for LTL and parcel carriers.
*Advanced understanding of LTL freight classes (NMFC) and parcel rates, accessorials and carrier pricing and invoicing programs.
*Knowledge of Power BI, ERP, TMS and WMS.
*Experience using Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel in an Advanced capacity.
*Expert Excel user pulling and managing large data sets from multiple sources and merging data for interpretation and advanced pivot table summaries.
*SQL experience a plus.
*Experience maintaining confidentiality in matters involving financial data and reporting.
*Strong communication and presentation skills (verbal and written).
*Available to work flexible hours as needed including all shifts and weekends - remote at times.
*Passion for analytics, learning supply chain systems and continuous improvement.
*Must be able to work in a warehouse environment as needed.
*Ability to gain consensus and work with multiple departments and carriers/vendors simultaneously.
