Summary
Responsible for ensuring that all necessary information is accurately collected and recorded. Will work to provide a positive patient experience while obtaining the information necessary to facilitate patient care and billing processes. Support on-boarding efforts of junior staff by mentoring, being a go to for day-to-day questions, and training. Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions -Train and mentor patient access representatives, as well as being a go to for day to day questions. -Greet patients and provide them with exceptional customer service and support. -Schedule appointments, pre-register patients, and process patient information accurately and efficiently. -Respond to patient inquiries, resolve issues, and provide information about healthcare services and insurance coverage. -Ensure that all patient information is kept confidential and secure, in accordance with HIPAA regulations. -Stay up-to-date with healthcare regulations and policies, and be able to apply them in daily operations. Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Associate's Degree Healthcare Administration preferred or Associate's Degree Related Field of Study preferred Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Experience experience in a healthcare setting, with a focus on patient access and registration 3-5 years required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Knowledge of patient access procedures, healthcare regulations, and insurance coverage. - Excellent customer service skills, including active listening, empathy, and effective communication. - Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systems.
