Job Summary

As Supervisor, has responsibility for oversight of a team of Project Specialists who are responsible for the assessment, analysis, planning, implementation and evaluation of major programs and / or projects. Acts as a change agent to create and support a positive change process. Works alongside team in accomplishing goals and achieving business outcomes.
Essential Functions
  • Serves as the leader to drive projects to completion including supervision of the assessment, analysis, planning, implementation, and evaluation including projects that are system wide. Supervises the management of the work plan, scope, and assessment of resource requirements in order to achieve desired outcomes and direct re-engineering efforts. Ensure that the project is achieving the expected business outcomes. Analyzes and documents, processes, procedures and outcomes to seek continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for assembling analytical, operational and technical project team members, coordinating activities, assigning individual responsibilities, developing and monitoring schedules to ensure timely and efficient completion of a project through the balancing of resources.
  • Holds staff accountable for performance against job descriptions, policies, procedures, controls and processes, as well as corporate and departmental guidelines. Monitors to assure that team is meeting expectations while also overseeing medium to large sized, multi-faceted projects varying in complexity and involving cross functional experts. These projects could be system-wide.
  • Contributes to development processes for self and team members. Appropriately encourages and evaluates competency and performance team members, and supports staff development through goal setting, training and communication. Works with upline to encourage staff retention and promote the appropriate work/life balance for each individual.
  • Communicates, collaborates, networks with and acts as a consultant to key stakeholders/business partners / executive level leadership in order to ensure continuity and coordination of services and appropriate utilization of resources. Acts as a mentor to others.
  • Participates on committees/task forces as member, consultant and/or chair. Develops and leads teams which are larger in scope.
  • Acts as a change agent to advance the knowledge and use of project management.
  • Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solution of significant issues and develops recommendation for leadership consideration. Competent to work all phases of the project with executive level leadership.
Qualifications
  • Required Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • 5 years of relevant experience related experience Required
  • 2 years of relevant experience previous leadership/management/project management experience Required
