Certifications:

Owners Identification (FOID) within 6 months - Illinois State Police (ISP)

Driver's License - Secretary of State (SOS)

• Perform floor patrols within clinics and medical offices owned/operated by Carle Health.
• Act as a role model and support management initiatives for the department.
• Assume leadership role in the absence of Supervisor.
• Restrain patients with minimum force, avoiding injuries while taking control of the situation and implementing appropriate procedures.
• Collect patient valuables upon request and secure them in the property room safe until called for.
• Assist leadership with the orientation and training of new and existing staff.
• Respond to all alarm activations and investigate the cause; conduct monthly testing of alarms.
• Provide motor vehicle assistance to staff and visitors (e.g., jump start vehicles, assist with flat tires).
• Supervise regional officers in the absence of the supervisor.
• Respond to security calls for service at all regional sites covered by Carle Security.
• Ensure security presence at off-site locations to handle employee terminations and potential violent patients or visitors.
• Provide assistance to patients and employees (e.g., jump starts, vehicle lockouts, escorts).
