Clinical System Coordinator - Remote Nationwide

The Clinical System Coordinator will coordinate the support, implementation, and maintenance of the Essette system for Clinical Services. Primary responsibilities of this role are testing coordination, execution, and analysis.

If you are located within the United States and able to work Mountain Time Zone, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Respect confidentiality and maintain confidence as described in the UHG Employee Handbook and acknowledged through signature by all employees. The ability to maintain confidentiality is a critical and essential component of this position
  • Work collaboratively with clinical management, Essette support team, IT, and other departments interfacing with the Essette system in accordance with the Mission and Values of the company to perform the assigned duties
  • Works closely with Management to coordinate the support, implementation, and maintenance of the Essette system
  • Set up and customize the Essette clinical platform to meet organizational needs and workflows
  • Manage and perform system imports, ensuring data integrity and accuracy through Essette processing
  • Handle user account setup, including creating and managing user profiles and access permissions
  • Maintain and update system rules to ensure users have appropriate access based on their responsibilities
  • Track support requests and document resolutions to improve future support processes and user experience
  • Provide technical support to users, diagnosing and resolving system issues promptly

  • Maintain system efficiency. Ensure the design of the system allows all components to work properly for the department. Troubleshoot problems reported by user, by testing and resolving or reporting as necessary. Make recommendations for future upgrades
  • Serve as a resource for other departments. Coordinate testing and error resolution. Coordinate with internal IT department to make enhancements to current functions to meet department demands/projects. Work with vendor as needed to test new programs and enhancements to the system
  • Assist with scheduling inter-department testing and training as new system upgrades/enhancements roll out. Plan/execute user testing scenarios/scripts and prepare test data
  • Communicate ongoing updates to all stakeholders to ensure understanding of and alignment with project status/changes
  • Demonstrate and apply knowledge of application systems and regulations, including Essette, UHC clinical and claims platforms
  • Analyze and isolate issues. Develop and maintain issue log when issues are sent to internal IT and external vendor. Attend meetings to coordinate activities between different entities to ensure proper design and delivery of programs/processes
  • Assist management with workflows, training manuals, and Essette system training to assist in ensuring the integrity of system programs within company. Work with the department business analyst to ensure a streamlined approach for all incoming and outgoing reporting for system programs
  • Support ongoing operations/maintenance/enhancement of existing solutions, in partnership with applicable stakeholders
  • Monitor and update all correspondence as it is updated per regulation/department changes
  • Complete all duties in accordance with company safety policies and practices
  • Other functions may be assigned, and management retains the right to add or change the duties at any time

Required Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 2+ years of experience with analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication skills with technical staff and end users
  • 2+ years of experience with the ability to read, analyze, interpret technical procedures, and to identify and manage routine problems
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft systems
  • Ability to work Mountain Time Zone schedule
  • Access to a designated quiet workspace in your home (separated from non-workspace areas) with the ability to secure Protected Health Information (PHI)
  • Reside in the United States
  • Reside in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service


Preferred Qualifications:



  • 1+ years college experience
  • Healthcare industry experience
  • Requires decision making, multi-tasking capabilities, and ability to learn new technologies
  • Previous experience working remotely

The salary range for this role is $19.86 to $38.85 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
