Job Summary
The
SAP Enterprise S/4 Transformation Solution Architect is a highly experienced professional who serves as the subject matter expert (SME) in SAP ERP core functionality, including Procurement, Sales, Finance, Inventory, and Manufacturing. This role will support enterprise-level solutions by providing expertise in S/4 Transformation and implementing solutions that drive business value. The Solution Architect will lead the integration of SAP solutions across the organization, ensure alignment with business processes, and drive digital transformation initiatives to achieve client goals. This position requires a deep understanding of cloud methodologies, managed services, and infrastructure, along with the ability to work closely with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Act as the subject matter expert (SME) in SAP ERP core functionality (Procurement, Sales, Finance, Inventory, Manufacturing) with business process experience in S/4 Transformation.
- Analyze business processes, gather requirements, conduct impact analysis, and implement SAP solutions effectively.
- Understand and communicate the benefits of S/4 transformations, including legacy migrations, digital transformation, and SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS methodologies.
- Design, document, and implement SAP solutions while collaborating with key business stakeholders to align with business needs.
- Work with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless integrations across SAP and non-SAP systems.
- Lead organizational change management initiatives to facilitate a smooth transition during digital transformation programs.
- Manage the process of requirements gathering, solution design, hands-on builds, testing, and troubleshooting during the implementation lifecycle.
- Provide training, knowledge transfer, and mentorship to internal teams and customers.
- Collaborate with Project Management teams to ensure timely delivery of projects while managing risks and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to business and IT leadership on SAP best practices, integrations, and cloud-based solutions.
- Build and maintain relationships with key business leaders, ensuring alignment of technical solutions with business goals.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Must possess at least one DOD 8570 certification: GSEC, Security+CE, SSCP, CCNA-security
- Must possess a qualified certification in a computing environment
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience working with SAP, including experience in S/4 transformation and core SAP ERP modules (Procurement, Sales, Finance, Inventory, Manufacturing).
- Participation in over 5 SAP migration or transformation projects within the past 10 years, with at least 2 projects as a Solution Architect or Project Manager.
- Previous experience working on large-scale public-sector migration projects within the past 3 years.
- Professional-level SAP certification
Required Skills
- Experience in the design, development, implementation, testing, and troubleshooting of IT systems based on SAP solutions.
- Familiarity with Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), including architectural design and managed services in a cloud environment.
- In-depth understanding of SAP ERP integration points and solid knowledge of SAP integration tools.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to proactively identify opportunities, make recommendations, and mentor others.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability in conducting requirements gathering, solution design, and hands-on build and implementation.
Desired Skills
- Experience leading organizational change management processes during digital transformation.
- Familiarity with government regulations and experience working within government programs or public sector environments.
- Understanding of SAP extensions and their application to solve business problems.
- Ability to proactively identify system and business gaps and lead the implementation of enhancements and solutions.
- Experience in providing training and knowledge transfer to team members and clients.
- Experience with SAP solutions on a global scale, managing regional and geographical considerations, including HA, COOP, SLAs, and FINOPS.
Security Clearance
- Active Secret clearance preferred.
