Waste Connections of New York is looking to add an Administrative Assistant on to our field team in Brooklyn, New York. (Red Hook Pier) Our idea of a successful Administrative Assistant is one that ensures the office runs smoothly, employees have the necessary resources, and administrative processes are efficiently carried out. The individual in this position is responsible for managing the office, including ordering supplies. This role is also responsible for data entry, dispatching, reporting and othergeneral administrative support to the Waste Connections of New York team. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Key Responsibilities: -Order and manage inventory of all office supplies -Accounts payable responsibilities including reconciling invoices and creating purchase orders -Support Operations with data entry, routing, billing, and reporting -Maintain filing systems, both physical and electronic, to ensure efficient document management. -Support the coordination and implementation of company events, such as team-building activities and celebrations. -Provide support and assistance to other departments or team members as needed. Qualifications and Skills: -High school diploma; additional education in finance, accounting, or business administration is a plus. -Proven experience in administrative support roles. -Proficient in using office productivity tools such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or equivalent. -Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping. -Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities. -Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal and public speaking skills. -Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. -Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Hours: Day Shift Pay for this role is $23-$28/hr depending on what the company deems as relevant experience.
