Overview
We are looking for a PRN Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist to function as a Scrub Technologist: to include Adult Cardiac Catheterization, Vascular Catheterization, Cardiac Devices, Pediatric Cardiac Catheterization, Electrophysiology, Neuro Intervention, or Structural Heart. This candidate will perform technical and patient care functions during diagnostic and intervention procedures in the Cardiovascular Lab. Qualifications
Associates Degree in Invasive Cardiovascular / Cardiopulmonary Technologist program, Radiology, Respiratory therapy, Paramedic; Surgical Tech (Certificate must be 1 yr. min program). *3 years of additional experience can be substituted in lieu of degree.
- Plus 3 years of adult Cath lab diagnostic and interventional procedure in performing scrubbing, circulating and monitoring and recording duties.
- RCIS or RCES required.
- ACLS (PALS is only required at Presbyterian Downtown) is required within the first 6 months
- Requires detailed knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, disease processes and principles of cardiovascular diagnostic and interventional technology.
