Sales Account and Relationship Manager

Coperion is now hiring a Sales Account / Relationship Manager to join our team.

This position is responsible for coordinating sales activity related to stand-alone (non-system) product sales for specific sectors of the food and pharmaceutical industry. Primary focus is maximizing efforts to make sure quotation and bookings goals are achieved.

This is a hybrid role that involves working onsite, remotely, and traveling to customer sites

  • Achieve quote and bookings goals.

  • Liaise with customers to offer best-in-class process solutions.

  • Oversee sales representatives in assigned markets, including recommendations for retention or replacement.

  • Motivate sales representatives to meet established goals.

  • Ensure accuracy of the Department's sales volume forecast.

  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales to implement departmental initiatives and strategies.

  • Monitor the sales pipeline and develop strategies for closing orders.

  • Process orders and change orders, ensuring correct pricing and resolving discrepancies.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Coperion FHN's products, policies, and goals.

  • Engage in self-improvement related to job duties and advancements.

  • Develop market/customer penetration plans for assigned territories.

  • Ensure accuracy of quotations, including equipment selection, pricing, and commercial terms.

  • Review contracts for compliance with established policies and procedures.

  • Participate in trade shows and sales seminars for representatives and customers.

  • Assist in the collection of past due accounts.

  • Manage demo equipment in assigned territory.

  • Travel as needed, approximately 25-50%.

  • Maintain a 5S office and support continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Experience and Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Marketing preferred

  • Minimum three years' experience in sales, application sales for engineering of a highly technical product

  • Bulk powder material handling, process controls and weighing background preferred

Technical Skills/Knowledge

  • Knowledge of pneumatic conveying, material handling process including feeding, milling, sifting, mixing and extrusion

  • Knowledge of selling process; marketing techniques, process control, weighing, bulk materials handling, food, chemical process industries

  • Must have excellent professional verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills

  • Must be skilled in coordinating and organizing with attention to detail.

  • Must have excellent computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Office suite.

  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.

  • Excellent organization and communication skills

  • Maintain neat and orderly, hazard-free work area.
