Department OverviewThe Government video team consists of body worn cameras, in-car video, license plate recognition readers, fixed video solutions and associated software. Motorola Solutions is the world's largest producer of in-car video systems and body-worn cameras specifically designed for the law enforcement market. The LPR product line consists of LPR, Facial Recognition, and Parking. Developed for law enforcement, by law enforcement, Motorola has created the most comprehensive online platform for generating investigative leads for law enforcement agencies throughout the world. The integration between the two solutions along with the rest of the Motorola portfolio assists Public Safety in end-to-end process improvements helping keep our communities safer. The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Ability to develop and execute on winning strategy within Kansas & Nebraska

  • Schedule and lead customer meetings

  • Uncovering additional sales opportunities within existing accounts for all offerings

  • Identifying and overcoming roadblocks and/or obstacles while keeping a positive attitude

  • Ability to resolve product or service related issues by clarifying the customer's grievance and channeling those issues to the Video Support Team

  • Regular client follow-ups to ensure "Total Customer Satisfaction"

  • Promote extended warranty and maintenance programs to existing, eligible customers

  • Ensuring client awareness regarding the usefulness and proper operation of the Video products and services that were purchased

  • Work with existing Solution Sellers focusing on other parts of the portfolio in the region

  • Ability to present products and demonstrate their uses

Specific Knowledge/Skills:

  • Bachelors Degree with 1+ years of sales/public safety experience
  • OR 3+ years of sales/public safety experience
  • Outside sales experience selling solutions into government organizations desired

  • Strong relationship development and management skills

  • Ability to be a strong self-starter and hunt to identify/create sales opportunities

  • High-caliber, articulate, and motivated sales professional

  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written & presentation)

  • Excellent negotiation skills

  • Ability to establish oneself as a trusted advisor

  • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices a plus

  • Strong abilities in PowerPoint, Excel, Word and CRM

  • Highly motivated and results oriented

  • Seeking candidates who reside within assigned region, work from a home office, and able to travel over 50% of the time
