Due to growth in our organization, we are looking for an in-house attorney with strong contract drafting and general corporate skills. This position is located at the nVent enterprise management office in St. Louis Park, MN and reports to the Associate General Counsel. WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
Be a part of our growing team within our Systems Protection business segment. Directly negotiate commercial terms and conditions of contracts with third parties. Assist in the development, negotiation, and execution of RFPs, third party nondisclosure agreements, R&D agreements, leasing agreements, supplier agreements, services agreements, sales agreements, and other product agreements. Develop, review, and negotiate construction and other long-term project-based contracts. Review enterprise contracts, focusing on software, IT-applications, cyber, and data-related agreements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals and compliance with legal requirements and company policies. Support the enterprise legal team as requested including with respect to M&A/strategic transactions. Provide direct legal support to functional teams, including finance, treasury, growth, risk management, information technology, real estate, supply, human resources and environmental, health and safety. Manage outside counsel and responsive internal actions for litigation claims
YOU HAVE:
JD from an accredited law school of recognized standing and license to practice law in MN. 5+ years of corporate law experience in-house and/or private practice preferred. Prior intellectual property, cybersecurity, and data privacy negotiation experience preferred Prior government contracting experience preferred Ability to negotiate a wide variety of third-party contracts to balance risk obligations. Foreign language skills and/or international experience a plus.

nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
Compensation Range: $105,000.00 - $195,000.00
