Summary
The trainee/resident performs a variety of professional level functions to assist in providing optimum veterinary care to animals involved in research and learns the demands of managing the programs supporting biomedical research. Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions -Care for a variety of animal species in a research setting. -Participate in rounds with veterinary staff. -Make presentations to the department and the broader laboratory animal medicine community. -Assist with researcher and CCM staff training. -Make recommendations for improvements to existing departmental methods and procedures and offer new ideas as part of the department's quality improvement effort. -Participate in regulatory reviews. -Maintain familiarity with research protocols. -Assist researchers with protocol creation and review.
