Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have:



  • Self-driven and motivated who can work well independently as well as in team environments.
  • Data entry and quality control (QAQC) processes for data.
  • The ideal candidate will have a passion for the outdoors and strong organizational skills.



Essential Responsibilities:



  • Enter biological data into MS Access, MSSQL, and Arc-GIS.
  • Conduct QAQC procedures for data entry
  • Import and export wildlife and environmental data, assist in developing graphs and tables and perform simple analyses using internal R packages
  • Other duties as appropriate and assigned
  • Work cooperatively with and under direction of the tracking & data team personnel
  • Provide reporting support as needed: technical editing support

Job Requirements

Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in a natural resource related field or substitute relevant and direct work experience
  • Experience or interest in working with wildlife, environmental, renewable energy, statistical or mathematical data and databases
  • Preference will be given to those with experience in MS Access, MS Excel,MSSQL, and/or R
  • Experience with programming and statistical analysis preferred
  • Highly developed ability to stay focused and pay attention to detail
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • High level of initiative and ability to think critically to solve challenging problems
  • Self-starter who can work independently yet thrives in a team environment
  • Capable of appearing for work on time, sitting for long periods of time; follow instructions from managers; interact effectively with coworkers and clients; maintain a positive attitude; accept guidance and growth-oriented feedback
  • Preference will be given to those who are pursuing a career in wildlife, environmental, biological, statistical, or a related field as well as completed coursework in those related areas

  • Sitting for long periods of time



After an offer of employment is made, thecandidatemust successfully pass a pre-employmentbackground check,drug screening,and a DMV records check that meets WEST's minimum criteria to operate a motor vehicle on behalf of the company. A valid driver's license will be required. Candidates must adhere to all health and safety requirements.
