As our Public Relations Manager, you'll take the lead in shaping our brand's public image through dynamic media relations and strategic PR initiatives. You'll cultivate and manage relationships with key media contacts, collaborate with partners, and work closely with internal stakeholders to drive impactful storytelling. From securing top-tier press coverage to developing creative campaigns, you'll play a crucial role in elevating our brand's reputation and visibility.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with key media contacts.
- Pitch stories to media outlets to secure coverage that promotes the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
- Respond to media inquiries and coordinate interviews with spokespersons.
- Develop and implement comprehensive PR plans to enhance the visibility and reputation of the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
- Collaborate with AVP of Public Relations to align PR strategies with organizational goals.
- Work closely with various departments within Vibrant Emotional Health to ensure consistent messaging and integrated communications.
- Coordinate with internal/external partners to support joint initiatives and campaigns.
- Draft press releases, pitches, official statements, and media responses.
- Prepare talking points, briefing documents, and other communication materials for executives and spokespersons.
- Plan and manage press events, media briefings, and public engagements.
- Assist in the organization of conferences, webinars, and other PR-related events.
- Track media coverage and prepare reports to measure the impact of PR activities.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on media analysis.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proficiency creating reports and tracking metrics.
- Strong project management skills.
- Strong writing skills, including proofing and editorial.
- Ability to adapt plans and strategies in light of new information and goals.
- Experience or interest in interacting with the public at events.
- Experience tracking and reporting, and analyzing from the reports.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), presentation and facilitation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, from start to finish.

- Identifies multifaceted problems affecting achievement of individual goals and provides solutions.
- Decisions have minor organizational impact that may require consultation with internal and external stakeholders regarding issues, possible solutions and implementation of alternatives.
- Analyzes and interprets issues, realigns responsibilities, commits resources and proposes alternative solutions.
Scope of Responsibility/Accountability:
- Manages projects, creates and implements work plans and objectives.
- Monitors and evaluates interim results and develops contingency plans if objectives are off track.
- Performance is reviewed by director level and above.
Managing/Directing Work:
- Interprets standards, communicates constructive feedback and guides others in developing their capacity to perform more effectively.
- Participates in planning and implementing small- scale work activities and contributes to evaluation of results for assigned objectives.
- Manages their own task list with minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications:
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Public Relations, with a focus on media relations.
- Proven track record of securing media coverage and managing PR campaigns.
- Knowledge of Asana, Muck Rack, and Cision platforms.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Will constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
- Will frequently communicate over video calls with internal and external stakeholders.
