At Telecare, we believe the strength of our organization sits in the hands of our leaders and staff. The Senior Communications Specialist, Program Marketing is a key position in driving the organization's success.

Shifts Available:

Full Time; AM 8:30 am - 5:00 pm; Monday - Friday

Expected starting wage range is around $71,614.67 - $88,447.23 annually. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Communications Specialist has the primary responsibility for content planning and development from inception to completion, including the implementation of communications programs and campaigns, measuring effectiveness, and ensuring the consistency, accuracy and quality of Telecare's voice and messaging across a broad range of platforms and channels. The Communications Specialist serves as a reporter and communicator, and will research, write, design, and produce content directly, or may partner with internal and external content creators, subject matter experts, freelancers, or vendors as needed. The Communication Specialist supports the smooth flow of information inside and outside the organization.
The Communications Specialist also helps support user adoption and engagement of communications tools.

The Communications Specialist works under the direction of the Director of Communications to execute both internal and external communications and performs a variety of tasks to facilitate effective and compelling communication, including but not limited to writing, editing, video production, graphic design, data analysis, research, and coordination of contributors and vendors. The Communications Specialist also schedules and communicates project plans and performs various administrative tasks as needed along with the entire communications team.

What You Bring to the Table (Must Have)

* Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, or English

* Five (5) years of experience in journalism, communications, or marketing

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Proficient in basic computer skills

* Proficient in graphic design and video editing

* Valid Driver's license

* Must be at least 18 years of age

* All opportunities at Telecare are contingent upon successful completion and receipt of acceptable results of the applicable post-offer physical examination, 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis, acceptable criminal background clearances, excluded party sanctions, and degree or license verification. If the position requires driving, valid driver license, a motor vehicle clearance and proof of auto insurance is required at time of employment and must be maintained throughout employment. Additional regulatory, contractual or local requirements may apply.

Essential Functions

* Demonstrate the Telecare mission, purpose, values, and beliefs in everyday language and contact with
the internal and external stakeholders

* Understand Telecare's diverse audiences and larger organizational communication needs

* Maintain organizational standards for design, language, and voice

* Recommend marketing/communication solutions that are appropriate for the target audience, meet project criteria, and align with the organization's values and resources

* Develop content from inception to completion for internal and external communications, ensuring
appropriate verification and approvals

* Collaborate with leaders and stakeholders on Telecare communication programs and campaigns

* Help manage Telecare's communication systems, tools, and provided needed user support

* Help monitor audience engagement and usage of the content we produce, to assist with content planning

* Work as part of the communications team to successfully support existing and emerging needs at the organizational, department, or program level

* Adapt as needed in a changing communications environment

Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted and/or changed at the discretion of management.

Skills

* Basic computer skills, word processing, data entry

* Office 365, including PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, SharePoint, Skype/Teams, Zoom

* Graphic design and video editing, using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere

* Content management tools such as WordPress, Squarespace

* Social media platforms and content development

* Marketing tools such as Salesforce, MailChimp, etc.
