Job Description:
- As a Field Engineer 4, you will work in a highly directed environment.
- Your assignments will include repair activities such as replaceable unit swapping, image loading, and unit testing using a detailed script.
- You will also perform other non-troubleshooting duties.
- Direction will be provided by script, help desk or service desk in a Next Business Day (NBD) and/or Same Business Day (SBD) service delivery environment.
Responsibilities:
- PLS Support for calls such as Dell ClientTransformation Services calls, installing and servicing PCs, and PC peripherals and/or electronic equipment.
- Takes service calls and performs incident specific activities as directed by Help Desk, Service Desk or script.
- May perform routine installs, moves, adds and changes as part of a directed team, including:
- Complex desktop and laptop break fix work.
- Whole unit replacement.
- Simple desktop printer fixes.
- Load software with a script.
General Job Information:
- Candidate will be taking PC hardware break fix calls at various locations.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to pass drug and background screening.
- Must be able to complete required product training.
Required Skills:
- DELL Desktop PC, Install/Support, Expert.
- A+ Certification.
- Obtaining Dell computer certification is a requirement for this position.
- These certs will COST you NOTHING, and are done after the interview (if you are selected) on your own computer at home, open book.
- Evidence of certification must be submitted before a job offer is extended.
- You will be given roughly 3 business days from the date you are selected as a final candidate to complete the Dell certifications.
- Please note that because certification is a requirement for the position, no reimbursement is provided for certifications or certification classes.
