Job Title: Monitoring Engineer
Location(s): Mclean, VA
Job Description:
- As a Monitoring Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability and performance of our production systems. You will work closely with various teams to monitor, troubleshoot, and support our infrastructure and applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage services, including RDS, IAM security groups, and other related components.
- Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters.
- Utilize Q Flow for business process management.
- Implement and manage Argo workflows for CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor and analyze system performance using Splunk and New Relic.
- Support and manage Spark applications.
- Provide Level 2 (L2) support for production systems, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Perform operational tasks, including system maintenance and upgrades.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues across various platforms and technologies.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and performance.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in production support and L2 support roles.
- Strong operational experience with a focus on monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in AWS services, including RDS and IAM security groups.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Q Flow, Argo workflows, Splunk, New Relic, and Spark.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications in AWS, Kubernetes, or related technologies.
- Experience with other monitoring and logging tools.
