Senior Marketing Coordinator - Proposals SUMMARY Mortenson is currently seeking a Senior Marketing Coordinator - Proposals to manage and create proposals and presentations that differentiate the company. This role involves researching, writing, and designing compelling proposals, managing the proposal process, and partnering with business development and project teams to grow the business in Minneapolis, North Dakota, and Iowa markets. Ideal candidates are strong writers who can collaborate in a dynamic environment. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the proposal writing process and schedule to meet all deadlines, including gathering, verifying, writing, and formatting proposal information
- Initiate and lead internal proposal meetings, collaborating with each pursuit champion to deliver winning proposals
- Research to provide accurate and engaging narratives
- Draft and interpret technical information through compelling stories and infographics
- Work both independently to meet deadlines and with the full team to contribute to the proposal and presentation strategy
- Leverage company and technology resources to drive efficiency and proposal process improvement
- Maintain brand standards - consistent voice and tone throughout all customer materials
- Support other marketing team functions including but not limited to: design and assemble marketing and communications collaterals, including newsletters, special event materials, electronic and print mailings, presentations, brochures, CRM data, award submissions
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business, Marketing or similar field
- Strong critical thinker, ability to develop messaging and clearly communicate strategic ideas in a clear, simple, visual manner
- Thrive in a fast-paced role and manage stakeholders, often under pressure to meet deadlines
- Proposal writing and editing skills (grammar, spelling, proofing, conciseness, etc.)
- Ability to listen and synthesize insights and inputs from multiple technical experts across departments
- Excellent organization and tracking of multiple projects at once
- Creative with an eye for detail and design
- Willingness to try new things, learn new skills, take lessons from each project, share, and drive continuous improvement
- Resourceful; proactive solution seeker and problem-solver
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
- Four to six years of experience in a similar role preferred
- Experience in the construction, engineering, or architectural industry a plus

The base pay range for this role is $32.79 - $44.28 (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%) Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
