Director of Housing Programs Position in Phoenix, AZ Full-time, 40 hours/week Salary Range: $85K-$92K 5+ years experience with housing and/or facilities services such as property management or related work 3+ years' experience with government funded housing programs such as HUD 3+ years' experience in leadership roles directly supervising teams and programs The Director of Housing Programs:
- Oversees the operations, strategy, and management of various housing initiatives and services to include HUD, SMI Housing, Transitional Living, Flexcare housing, and other programs as applicable.
- Manages housing both owned and leased by Lifewell, and collaborates closely with a broad array of internal and external stakeholders and teams as well works with tenants when needed.
- Directly manages staff and housing program performance
Leadership:
- Oversee all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the housing portfolio, including managing housing support staff, ensuring rent collection procedures are followed, occupancy levels are maintained, and that the housing programs meet performance and compliance expectations.
- Works closely with property owners
- Hires, trains, supports, and manages staff within the housing team
- Works closely cross functionally with various internal teams to include facilities and clinical teams.
- Fosters a collaborative and effective team environment
Community Engagement:
- Fosters strong relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, housing authorities, nonprofits, funding sources, and community members
- Proactively supports the marketing and growth of housing programs through engaging in community-based events, training, and gatherings
- Represents Terros and Lifewell as a collaborative and knowledgeable housing expert
- Seeks to identify funding opportunities in support of housing program development and housing investments
Operational Oversight:
- Ensures the timely and effective handling of day to issues and needs for all housing programs
- Creates, maintains, and leads with policies and procedures aligned with best practices
- Trains staff and adjacent teams frequently and with enthusiasm
- Ensures compliance with all regulatory, financial, and compliance standards
- Continually aims to innovate and improve existing practices
- Ensure tenant lease compliance, follow timely and effective remediation steps when needed
- Leads or participates in various housing audit activities which may include supplying required documentation, completing hosting site visits, and related activities
Risk Management:
- Timely and effectively handles high risk housing situations
- Responds after hours when needed to address crisis events
- Collaborates closely with facilities and other teams as needed to ensure health and safety concerns are remediated swiftly and effectively
- Works closely with clinical teams when appropriate to remediate tenant issues and risks that can be helped by clinical intervention
- Ensures compliance with all regulatory expectations

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, real estate development, or related field. Or significant equitable experience At least 5 years' experience with housing and/or facilities services such as property management or related work At least 3 years' experience with government funded housing programs such as HUD At least 3 years' experience in leadership roles directly supervising teams and programs Must have valid Arizona driver's license, be 21 years of age with minimum 3 years driving experience, and meet requirements of Terros Health's driving policy Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or apply for an Arizona fingerprint clearance card (Level 1) within 7 working days of assuming role Must pass a Drug Screen & TB Test
