TEKsystems is seeking a System Engineer to support a local healthcare client. The ideal candidate would be able to take primary ownership of the organization's enterprise back up systems and have previous experience with VMware and Linux/RHEL. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES: * Provides infrastructure support for systems of moderate complexity, as assigned. * Diagnoses and troubleshoots issues with infrastructure hardware and datacenter software. * Supports and assists the IT Department in the development of sound practices and solutions for infrastructure issues. * Serves as a Tier 1 escalation point for infrastructure related issues. * Collects data from performance and uptime monitoring tools. * Installs, configures, tests and maintains operating systems, application software and system management tools. * Creates and maintains documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.
