Position Description:
Purpose
Perform studies to advance the goals of research projects studying inflammatory skin diseases, granulomas, bacterial and fungal skin infections, hemangiomas, vascular malformations, birthmarks, morphea, pigmented lesions, and global health dermatology under the guidance of principal investigators. Assist the PI in writing grant proposals and papers. Prepare and present study results at national meetings.
Primary Functions
- Organize study participant charts and files. Distribute charts and files to appropriate location.
- Under direct guidance, assist with coordination of basic study activities.
- Accurately enter research data into specified programs or databases.
- Compile outreach packets, recruitment and specimen collection kits.
- Participate in meetings with principal investigator and research staff and evaluate/interpret the validity of data; develop strategies for study enrollment.
- Collaborate with principal investigators in organizing the global health mentorship program.
Knowledge - Skills - Abilities
Knowledge of quality control, customer service standards, information management, procedural process, and recordkeeping. Computer, technical, interpersonal, oral communication, listening, and patience skills.
