Inova Alexandria Hospital is looking for a dedicated Clinical Nurse Manager to join the Progressive Care team. This role will be full-time evening shift with a schedule of 1:00pm to 9:00pm or 3:00pm to 11:00pm. Inova Alexandria's Hospital Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is an adult 52-bed Neurological/Cardiac Telemetry Unit. Nursing care is provided to medical, neurologic (Acute Stroke, Rule out Stroke, TIA) and cardiac patients in all phases of their disease process including initial diagnosis, treatment, and discharge. Each room is equipped with oxygen outlets, compressed air outlets and vacuum outlets. The patient population is 18 years old and older with a patient/nurse ratio of 4-5 to 1. Featured Benefits:

Clinical Nurse Manager (RN) - Progressive Care Job Responsibilities:
- The Nurse Manager oversees assigned unit to ensure it is performing effectively, which may include but not limited to, hiring and training team members, creating and implementing business strategies, managing performance of team members, and delegating tasks.
- Manages a nursing unit with 24-hour responsibility through demonstrated leadership and supporting behavioral competencies.
- Utilizes the Joint Commission standards and nursing practice tools/research to support a care delivery system that produces quality care with optimal outcomes.
- Serves as a primary liaison and information resource for unit of responsibility while overseeing the provision of therapeutic care in a holistic and evidence-based environment, which produces excellent patient care with optimal patient outcomes.
- Provides direction and guidance to others regarding practice while serving as a resource and a mentor to team members and showing respect for and an appreciation for the contributions of all team members.
Registered Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care Additional Requirements:
- Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
- Experience: Requires a minimum of 2-years clinical experience related to the unit's scope.
- Certification: Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia or hold a privilege to practice in the State of Virginia under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC). Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association required upon start.
**Previous experience in: Progressive Care, Intermediate Care, Intensive Care, Neuro and Telemetry strongly preferred.**
