The Manufacturing Supervisor interacts heavily with the Engineering, Quality and Materials functions to enable effective order execution and meet customer requirements. You will be engaged in processes such as Press Shop, Assembly, and Powder Coating, ensuring all products are delivered from your area in a safe and efficient manner. Additionally, you will lead continuous improvement in productivity, quality and execution to meet plant profitability goals and employee and customer satisfaction.1st and 2nd shift available.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As Manufacturing Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

Safety

  • Ensuring a safe work environment at all times
  • Monitoring compliance of legislative and plant regulations
  • Ensuring any non-conformances are addressed and corrected quickly

Quality

  • Working with appropriate functions to identify, correct and improve product quality issues by being an active participant in the MRB process.
  • Ensuring compliance to all Quality standards and customer requirements

Order Execution

  • Shipping product at expected costs, required quality levels, and on time, to meet customer requirement dates and plant financial targets

Leadership, Training and Development

  • Continually growing and developing a skilled production workforce through leadership, training and cross-training opportunities
  • Leveraging strong communication, training and development to keep the team well informed
  • Assesses team performance, provides feedback and coaching.
  • Creates a positive work environment by driving empowerment, ensuring employees are engaged and motivated.

Continuous Improvement Processes

  • Identifying, participating in and ensuring completion of initiatives to improve safety, eliminate waste and support Burlington cost reduction requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Knowledge of:

  • Metal fabrication processes
  • Assembly methods
  • Welding technology
  • 5S knowledge and experience to work on key continuous improvement initiatives
  • Process minded and logical thinker
  • Ability to deal with pressure, and effectively deliver to targets
  • Strong change management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on business requirements
  • 6 Sigma Green Belt Certification, preferred but not required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally around metal fabrication
  • Labor relations experience preferred
  • Technical education and/or equivalent experience
  • Strong safety experience

Salary Range: The compensation range(s) identified below are a good faith estimate of the salary expected to be paid as performed from these locations. Actual salaries may vary based on a variety of factors including but not limited to skillset, experience, education and training; and other relevant business and organizational factors.Most candidates will start in the lower half of the range.

The Salary Range - $71,565 - $93,034
