Safety & Emergency Preparedness
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES: Individual must possess knowledge, skills and ability to be able to successfully perform the essential functions of the position or be able to explain or demonstrate how the essential functions will be performed, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS: EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: One or more years lifeguarding experience preferred or any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Work permit required if under 18 years of age.
LICENSES / CERTIFICATES: Current certification in Lifeguarding from the American Red Cross. Current certification in CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, and First Aid from the American Red Cross. OTHER: HOURS,CLASSIFICATION AND STATUS: The College is seeking to fill numerous positions for coverage during the pool operations in the summer months. These are temporary, non-benefits-eligible, part-time, non-exempt positions. Hours will vary due to the needs of the College or department. This position requires that the employee is able to cover other shifts, and work weekends and after-hours as needed by the College. These positions are expected to end on or before September 1, 2025. Hourly rate: $16.75. The hourly rate of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, andtraining. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: None.
