First shift 7am-330pm
MOR Inventory Management Specialist:
1. Monitors and maintains inventory of routine and specialized surgical supplies, including implantable items, and other surgical equipment, ensuring availability for scheduled cases. Monitors supply usage and initiates reorders according to par levels, reviewing and adjusting par level requirements as needed. Monitors, receives, inspects and verifies orders, following up with Purchasing personnel and vendors to resolve errors, delays and other related problems.
2. Communicates and collaborates with clinical leadership team as needed with regards to supply availability issues and alternatives, slow moving inventory, and new product and equipment requests.
3. Distributes, restocks and maintains inventory in designated storage areas. Monitors storage of supplies/equipment. Rotates stock and inspects items for proper packaging and labeling. Maintains neatness and organization of storage areas.
4. Monitors and maintains inventory, purchasing and repair records. Receives and verifies billing invoices, prepares payment requisitions and responds to related inquiries. Monitors and reconciles expenses against budget allotments. Collects information requested for preparation of annual supply and capital equipment budgets.
5. Monitors and oversees and repair of equipment for assigned services. Coordinates routine maintenance and repairs and/or arranging services through appropriate hospital departments or vendors. Works with clinical team to source alternative equipment as needed.
6. Assists in selection and introduction of new equipment and supplies.
7. Serves as a resource on source, cost and use of service specific supplies and equipment.
8. Participates in related committees/project teams as assigned.

Required Education: High School Diploma / GED

Required Work Experience: One Year Supply Management
Preferred Work Experience: Basic technical training in OR/Surgical Technology or related field

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
1. the analytical skills to gather and interpret data in situations in which the information or problems are relatively routine.
2. the ability to exchange information on factual matters, schedule appointments, greet visitors, explain Hospital policies, and/or relay messages to appropriate personnel. This type of interaction requires courtesy and tact when dealing with patients, visitors and/or hospital employees. More sensitive situations may be referred to others as appropriate.

Physical Requirements
1. Frequent lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
2. Regular sitting, stooping and bending.
3. Regular reaching and grasping objects at, above and below shoulder level.
4. Regular grasping and fine manipulation with hands.
5. Regular proofreading and checking documents for accuracy.
6. Regular inputting/retrieving words or data into or from an automated/computer system.
