Summary of Job Duties:Assist Housing and Residential Life staff with a variety of basic clerical, housekeeping, maintenance, and administrative support functions to ensure resident and camper customer service. Duties will vary. The position primarily reports to the Sebastian Commons Resident Director with some oversight from the Lion's Den Resident Director. Qualifications:

Required Education and/or Work Experience: Minimum requirements include the ability to communicate effectively (read, write, and follow routine oral and written instructions in English); and the ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift 50 pounds on a regular basis. Preference will be given to UAFS Students and candidates with previous facility or related work experience. Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for part of these requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: To perform the job successfully, the following competencies are required for the essential functions of this position:

* Professional demeanor.

* Strong computer skills, including data entry, spreadsheet, and word processing programs.

* Knowledge of general office procedures.

* Ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff including strong phone etiquette skills.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

* Assist with check-in and check-outs of summer residents and camp guests. (20%)

* Conduct social and safety rounds of resident facility and respond to resident and camper needs and concerns.

* Staff Sebastian Commons and Lion's Den front desk by greeting visitors and answering questions, answering the phones, copying, filing, completing assigned projects, and answering information requests regarding Housing.

* Contacting residents and prospective residents regarding paperwork.

* Tour guide for housing tours.

* Assisting with coordinating the cleaning of apartments.

* Assisting with coordinating housing maintenance of both facilities.

* Launder camp linens.

* Complete inventory walkthroughs.

* Complete room condition reports.

* Assist with summer marketing projects, to include summer orientations.

* Provide one large event for on-campus residents in the months of June and July.

* Organize storage areas. (3%)

* Follow and enforce all policies listed in the Student Code of Conduct and Housing Handbook.

* Other duties as assigned

Responsible for maintaining a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner to foster teamwork and by providing leadership to subordinates. Requires consistent on-time attendance.

Additional Information:

Working Relationships: Work in a dynamic fast paced environment where frequent contact with vendors, personnel from other agencies, students, parents, and the general public will occur. Work primarily with two other personnel in the office while being entrusted to sometimes work autonomously.

Special Job Dimensions: Will work no more than 350 hours between May 12, 2025 and August 15, 2025. Work is split between office hours and maintenance work during the week and serving in an on-call rotation overnight and on the weekends; live-in during on call is required. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, and be able to bend, stoop, and stand during shifts. Other physical activities associated with this position: balancing, crouching, and feeling, manipulate items with fingers, including keyboard, grasping, hearing, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motion, standing, stooping and walking. There will be some exposure to inclement weather. On-call duty will be required.

Background Check Requirements. Criminal background check, MVR (Motor Vehicle Registry) Check, and drug screening. Position requires employee complete Arkansas Mandated Reporter training prior to employment.

Salary Information:

$11.00/hour
