Saint John Hospital in Leavenworth, Kansas, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Med/Surg Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the medical-surgical unit, ensuring the best possible outcomes and maintaining the hospital's standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver direct patient care under the supervision of Registered Nurses (RNs) and physicians in the medical-surgical unit.
* Administer medications, perform wound care, monitor vital signs, and carry out physician orders accurately.
* Assist with patient assessments, document patient conditions, and update care plans accordingly.
* Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, ensuring patients are informed and comfortable.
* Educate patients and families on disease management, medications, and post-discharge care.
* Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care.
* Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
* Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Current and valid state license
2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
3. IV certification upon hire (state specific)
