1.The co-op aide may be an individual who is currently enrolled in an entry level physical therapy degree program that is accredited by Certification and Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). The co-op aide candidate may also be an individual enrolled in a related healthcare major.
2.Their primary responsibilities are to assist all rehabilitation staff in the day to day operation of the service in accordance with State licensing regulations, departmental standards and policies, and accepted professional they are assigned to. 3. Assists with inventory control with oversight by the Purchasing Clerk of the department; stocks supplies, monitors par levels of items, maintains stock in good order. 4.Responsible for the daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance and cleaning of rehabilitation equipment. Responsible for maintaining logs related to this cleaning. 5.Maintains the clinic in a neat, an orderly manner; changes linens, cleans, prepares treatment surfaces/equipment. 6.Assists in greeting/escorting patients and facilitating smooth departmental flow of patients. 7.Assists supervising therapist in patient care in accordance with state licensing regulations as applicable. 8.Performs clerical and operational tasks as assigned, including but not limited to; front desk coverage, filing, scanning, organizing patient education materials, assembling documents. 9.Completes other appropriate duties as assigned.
