Inspector, Quality Control I

The Product Quality Support performs routine quality assurance tasks for a specific component or product.

Responsibilities:



  • Perform visual, mechanical, functional and electrical inspections of parts, materials, and subassemblies using engineering drawings, specifications and test procedures.
  • Basic knowledge of engineering drawings and specifications and be able to use the following measurement tools: microscopes, ruler, gauges, calipers, micrometers
  • Records and interprets inspection data to verify compliance to quality requirements.
  • Support inspection objectives by ensuring a stable and consistent workflow and resolving issues in a participative (team player), proactive, and positive manner.
  • Prepare non-conformance reports and other reports as needed.
  • Other activities, duties and projects may be assigned as necessary.

Education



  • High School Diploma or equivalent



Work Experience

Nice to Have



  • One year of experience in a quality role with emphasis on inspection activities would be preferred.
  • Working knowledge of medical device manufacturing operations and associated regulatory requirements is desired.
  • Some experience in inspection of simple to moderately complex mechanical and electronic components and assemblies is desired.



Language(s)/ Level



  • English/ Fluent



IT Skills



  • Familiar with Microsoft programs and other basic computer applications (I.e. SAP, Camstar MES)



A minimum of 200Mb/sec download and 10Mb/sec upload speed internet connectivity is required to support any remote/hybrid employee functionality at Sonova

This role's pay range is between: $20.00/hr - $30.00/hr. This role is also bonus eligible.
