Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and/or education, and location. This position is also eligible for an annual bonus.

SUMMARY

The Deposit Portfolio Officer is responsible for on-boarding new Specialty Banking customers and retaining existing Specialty Banking relationships including treasury management products, depository accounts as well as other service products offered by the Bank. The Deposit Portfolio Officer must assist with the management of Specialty Banking sales and service efforts to ensure proper on-boarding of new clients and retention of existing relationships as well as assisting in the growth of these relationships by cross selling additional Bank services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Presents complex solutions to existing customers and prospects through thorough understanding of the Bank's complex and multifaceted financial products and services.
  • Acts as a liaison to Centers of Influence in all Specialty Banking functions in order to contribute to the increased earnings and growth objectives. Actively participates in community and civic activities.
  • Troubleshoots account issues and seeks approval for exceptions to pre-determined policies and procedures when necessary to maintain assigned portfolio.
  • Prepares account analysis comparisons and projections and makes pricing recommendations based on market conditions.
  • Manages the timing of the new accounts and treasury management on-boarding process for new and existing relationships.
  • Provides ongoing client support to ensure retention of new and existing relationships and assist in the growth and cross selling of Bank products and services to these relationships.
  • Manages new client conversion timelines by coordinating with internal departments and external vendors to ensure all on-boarding of products and services have been properly implemented prior to the conversion date.
  • Manages all aspects of the assigned depository portfolio for compliance with bank policies and procedures as well as monitoring account analysis results monthly.
  • Complies with and stays abreast of all operations, new accounts and treasury management policies and procedures, federal and state laws applicable to the job.
  • Provide, present and promote The Citizens Experience to all external and internal customers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does require incumbent to manage the results of internal associates and external vendors.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or a minimum five (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations and interpret and draw bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

COMPUTER & SOFTWARE SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Outlook Internet software; Excel, and Word Processing software.

OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, OR ABILITIES

  • The position requires frequent travel to and from Specialty Banking prospects and clients' places of business.
  • The incumbent may be occasionally required to attend various Industry association meetings and conferences, which may include extended travel and overnight stays.

Salary Range:$26.52 To $36.47 Hourly
