A day in the life...

As a Security Guard, you will be vital in ensuring the safety and security of our building. Your daily responsibilities will include answering phone calls for business inquiries or call-ins, monitoring all exits and high-risk areas, and maintaining the cleanliness of the front-desk area. You will serve as the first point of contact for employees, greeting them as they arrive, and representing the company as the welcoming face for visitors. This is a part-time position with an average of 32 hours per week on the night shift, with occasional weekend shifts as needed.

What you will be doing...

• Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors and windows.
• Ensure security requirements are met throughout the plant by making documented rounds inside and outside of the facility.
• Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
• Monitor entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons.
• Issue, track and retrieve employee access cards as needed.
• Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
• Answer telephone calls to take messages, answer questions, and provide information during non-office hours or as needed.
• Ensures security requirements are met throughout the plant.
• Performs clean-up activities as assigned.
• Conforms to rules.
• Adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines to ensure product quality and uphold food safety standards.
• Learns to identify and address potential food safety hazards, process deviations, or non-conformities, while maintaining proactive communication with supervisors.
• Documents food safety and quality procedures, maintaining detailed records of monitoring, verification, and corrective actions.

Do you have what it takes?

(Basic Qualifications)

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to read and understand gauges, scales, thermometers, and record results.
• Must be able to read and understand tolerances established by RSC for specific items and recognize deviations from those tolerances.
• Excellent communication and public relations abilities.
• Ability to operate telephone, PC, copier, and other basic business machines.
• Must be able to handle potential emergency situations and remain calm during such situations.
• Ability to stand and walk on hard surfaces for duration of shift.
• Basic knowledge of security and fire inspection procedures.
• Must be able to complete physical rounds of the facility.

• High School diploma or GED
• One year experience in security field.
• Two or more years in a manufacturing facility
• A passion for chocolate
• Excellent communication and public relations abilities.
