Job Summary - Supervisor, PM & Rehab Services

As a member of the leadership team responsible to promote the profession and services of Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapy. Assists in program development and implementation of services that promote quality and efficient care. Accountable for budgetary goals, quality, clinical outcomes, and operational performance. Promote staff education and research. Directs personnel to perform high quality of care. Provides leadership and assistance to staff in the development and implementation of new programs. The supervisors maintain daily monitoring of the clinic operations. Collaborates with the Manager in the short and long-range planning of the department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Essential Functions - Supervisor, PM & Rehab Services
  • Provides patient care up to 75% of the average work week. Evaluates, treats, and documents patient treatment. Provides assistance in the interpretation & execution of medical orders as necessary.
  • Supervises daily operation for the clinic. Monitors staffing needs, the schedule, referrals, staff and productivity.
  • Monitors, develops and mentors staff in competency and clinical performance. Organizes peer reviews and monitors the clinic quality improvement process.
  • Does the hiring, counseling and corrective action of staff. Responsible for the orientation, training and evaluation of staff performance.
  • Follows and implements department and hospital policies.
  • Represents the department, participates in hospitals committees and special projects.
  • Exhibits customer service behavior in accordance with our Mission and Vision Statement.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of growth/development/dynamic behavior of various age group populations and is able to perform assessments/treatments appropriately.
  • Recommends scope of clinical services provided which are consistent with current rehabilitation practice, patient, physician and community needs.
  • Ensures compliance with 3rd party payer requirements.
  • Identifies, develops and implements new and updated programs.
  • Monitors departmental statistics. Assists in the development of departmental objectives including the specifics for meeting those objectives.
Qualifications - Supervisor, PM & Rehab Services
  • Required Must possess a Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech Therapy from an accredited college or university physical, occupational or speech therapy program.
  • 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years clinical experience with demonstrated excellence in provision of Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy services Required
  • 1 year of relevant experience one year of supervisor experience. Required
  • Marketing experience. Preferred
  • LIC-Physical Therapist - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required Or
  • CRT-Occupational Therapist, Registered (OTR) - NB-COT National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy preferred Or
  • CRT-Speech Language Pathologist - ASHA American Speech-Language-Hearing Association preferred
