Build an Aviation Career You're Proud Of As an A&P Mechanic at StandardAero Augusta, you will be responsible for performing heavy maintenance and major inspections on mid-sized corporate aircraft. Join our team of experienced A&P Mechanics troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying aircraft from renowned brands such as Falcon, Hawker, Challenger, Gulfstream, and Embraer StandardAero Augusta is a Business Aviation MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul) facility, specialized to support an extensive range of 22 models of corporate aircraft, and 2 lines of Honeywell turbofan engines. With a significant 80,500 sq ft expansion opening in August 2025, we're doubling our footprint and growing our teams! What You Will Do: Inspect aircraft per OEM Light or Heavy Maintenance Manuals. Remove and install wheels, brakes, flight controls and riggings Evaluate removed components for serviceability and document discrepancies. Troubleshoot and repair airframe systems including hydraulics, landing gear, and more. Interpret maintenance manuals, blueprints, and technical documents. Analyze mechanical problems to determine the best repair methods. Test, repair, and adjust engines, engine controls, and flight controls. Check and repair fuel, oil, oxygen, heating, cooling, and pressurization systems. Utilize hand tools and precision measuring instruments effectively. Remove and reinstall engines from turbofan aircraft. Conduct operational checks and engine runs to ensure airworthiness prior to departure. Make informed decisions on maintenance techniques and troubleshooting. Basic Qualifications: Active FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License Prior Aviation Training or Certifications (Military, Aeronautical Academy, Technical School, and/or an Aviation Associate's Degree). High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Availability and flexibility to work overtime and weekends to support business needs. Preferred Qualifications: Minimum 1 year of Corporate/Business Aviation experience Previous experience working on Embraer, Falcon, Lear, Citation, Challenger, Gulfstream, Global and/or Hawker aircraft. Experience working in a Service Center, Military Depot, or MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul) environment.
