About the Opportunity

DMI, LLC is seeking a Business Analyst to join us. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our team in supporting a federal customer. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in business analysis, along with proven expertise in test validation and verification. This role is critical in ensuring the agency's systems and processes meet regulatory requirements and function efficiently.

Duties and Responsibilities:

    Lead the business analysis process by collaborating with stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize complex business requirements
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive requirements specifications, including functional, non-functional, and regulatory requirements
  • Design and oversee the implementation of test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure thorough validation and verification of applications and systems
  • Conduct comprehensive testing, including functional, integration, regression and user acceptance testing, to identify defects and ensure quality deliverables
  • Facilitate communication among project teams, stakeholders, and end-users to foster collaboration and ensure alignment on project goals and objectives
  • Mentor junior analysts on best practices in business analysis and testing methodologies, providing support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle
  • Prepare detailed documentation of testing results, defect tracking, and resolution processes, presenting findings and recommendations to project leadership and stakeholders
  • Monitor project progress, risks, issues, and contribute to project planning and execution strategies
  • Stay current with industry best practices, federal regulations, and compliance standards, applying this knowledge to improve processes and solutions
  • Lead and participate in workshops, focus groups, and strategy sessions to identify and clarify business needs and requirements


Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, information technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis, with a focus on federal or government projects
  • Demonstrated experience in test validation and verification processes including experience with various testing methodologies and tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to synthesize complex information and drive strategic solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Proven leadership skills with experience in mentoring and guiding team members in a project environment
  • Familiarity with federal regulations and compliance standards

Required and Desired Skills/Certifications:

  • Familiarity and understanding of project management methodologies
  • Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, ISTQB, or equivalent are highly desirable
