Internal Audit -Business Unit Manager, Vice President

Internal Audit (IA) supports the Audit Committee of the Board in fulfilling its oversight responsibilities by independently assessing the firm's internal control structure, raising awareness of control risk, providing advice to management in developing control solutions, and monitoring the implementation of management's control measures. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The Internal Audit Business Unit Manager (BUM) manages a broad set of divisional operating activities in support of the Director of the Professional Practices Group (PPG) and the IA Divisional Operations team.

The BUM serves as a single point-of-contact for PPG on operational matters, where he/she supports and administers key IA activities in centralizing the overall effort. In doing so, the BUM is expected to liaise with key stakeholders, including PPG leads as well as the leads of the various audit support teams.

The BUM will work closely with the IA Divisional Operations team and the Director of PPG across a broad set of responsibilities including, but not limited to:

* Managing headcount and location strategies, facilitating recruitment efforts and contingent worker sourcing, managing spend requests and budgeting for PPG

* Assisting PPG leads with planning, scheduling, and allocating people and resources to achieve team goals efficiently and effectively

* Assisting with tracking and reporting of key metrics such as Quality Assurance (QA) plan completion status, QA action item status, PPG metrics distributed to the audit teams across the division or for Audit Committee reporting

* Liaising with the team to ensure key operating and reporting deadlines and deliverables are met

* Managing relevant expense budgets such as travel and memberships to organizations

* Assisting in the management of key team activities for PPG, including compiling information for the monthly newsletter communications, post audit survey monitoring and results, QA exceptions thematic analysis, time entry management, QA Guest Reviewer Program, and monitoring of training completion rolled out to the division

Business knowledge / Qualifications

* Undergraduate degree in audit, finance, accounting with preferred experience in the financial services industry (regulated)

* 10+ years of experience in audit, financial analysis/accounting, operational management, or project/portfolio management

* Strong understanding of the audit function

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills

* Strong Project Management skills

* Highly motivated and self-starter who is a driven, highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent multi-tasking and follow-through ability and works well under pressure

* Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

* Strong attention to detail, and strong analytical skills

* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Business Intelligence (BI) report w
