PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $125,700.00-$153,600.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $97,400.00 - $181,800.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Employees have access to disability and AD&D insurance. We also offer health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, as well as health savings accounts, to eligible employees. Employees are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan and employer-funded retirement plan. Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. To join our dynamic team, we require candidates to be residents of WA, OR, ID, AZ, TX, GA, or SC. If you're located in Washington state and within a reasonable driving distance from Tukwila, we are requesting that you come into our HQ on Tuesdays & Wednesdays.For those candidates that live outside the commute distance of TFC and in any of our approved remote work locations, this role will be remote. Remote or onsite, we are committed to ensuring you are fully engaged and included in our collaborative environment.

IMPACT YOU'LL MAKE

As a Sr Enterprise Data & Business Intelligence Analyst (BIA), you won't just crunch numbers-you'll shape how BECU turns data into smart decisions and member-first innovations. You'll be at the heart of designing and delivering Data, Business Intelligence (BI) and Advanced Analytics solutions that directly power better services for our members.

Working closely with our Enterprise Data and Business Intelligence team and other data leaders across BECU, you'll uncover insights, bridge the gap between business needs and data capabilities, and elevate how we use information to drive results. You'll take complex, cross-functional data initiatives from concept to impact-and help others level up their skills along the way. Whether you're analyzing historical patterns or guiding teams through BI design, your work will help shape smarter strategies and better member experiences.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead the Way: Facilitate sessions with product owners, business partners, and tech teams to translate big ideas into clearly documented data and BI requirements.

  • Source & Shape Data: Manage data sourcing, conduct gap analyses, and document metadata and business rules in alignment with data governance principles.

  • Build Smarter Tools: Partner with Product, Engineering, and Architecture to bring data and BI solutions to life-from ideation to dashboards-especially on high-impact, complex initiatives.

  • Dig Deep Into Data: Conduct exploratory analysis, generate working hypotheses, and identify meaningful patterns in both raw and curated data.

  • Solve Real Problems: Tackle tough data challenges with creativity-dig into the root causes, propose smarter metrics, and share learnings across the data community.

  • Ensure Data Quality: Create and execute test plans, write validation scripts, and ensure data reliability across BI, regulatory, and analytics solutions.

  • Model the Future: Design and maintain conceptual/logical data models that support enterprise initiatives and build out new data offerings.

  • Standardize & Educate: Develop and share policies, standards, and training materials to promote smarter and more efficient use of BI tools and data.

  • Be the Data Translator: Produce technical documentation, offer training by persona, and empower stakeholders to confidently consume data.

  • Prioritize Privacy & Compliance: Integrate cybersecurity, data privacy and regulatory requirements into data designs and product strategy.

  • Collaborate & Demo: Lead walkthroughs and demos to showcase new data and BI features to development and business partners.

  • Mentor Others: Support and guide team members on systems, tools, and strategies to raise the bar for data fluency, adoption and governance.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, IT, Business or equivalent work/educational experience.

  • Minimum seven years of related experience in data management solutions.

  • Advanced proficiency in Business Intelligence as both Power User and Data Consumer.

  • Proven experience bridging strategic and operational needs with technical solutions.

  • Strong SQL and data modeling skills for both SQL and NoSQL repositories.

  • Expertise in Data and BI architecture, design and tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, SQL Server Management Studio, etc.

  • Working knowledge of Cloud Computing and associated practices.

  • Familiarity with Azure, DataOps, and agile tools like Azure DevOps(ADO).

  • Strong project management abilities.

Desired Qualifications

  • Advanced degree preferred.

  • Knowledge of Python, Snowflake, Databricks, ErWin, Alteryx, IDMC or other data quality & governance tools.

  • Deep understanding of data engineering terminology and architecture.
