The Senior Manager, Finance and Accounting at Children's Hospital Colorado Foundation (Foundation) is responsible for ensuring that the Foundation's accounting records and financial reports follow Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and industry best practices. This position serves as the primary technical accounting resource for the organization and stays well-informed of the relevant technical rules, as well as best practices in accounting and other related areas. This person will make recommendations for improvements and implement changes to keep the organization's accounting policies and processes efficient, effective and in line with best practices. This position will oversee the daily routine functions of the Finance and Accounting department and ensure proper internal controls over Foundation assets. This position will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Finance and Accounting. Additional Information

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Seven years of work experience as an accountant * Experience as an accounting manager or similar full-charge accounting function &/or experience as a financial auditor, especially in audits of not-for-profit organizations * Experience as a supervisor * Expert-level ability in Microsoft Excel * Experience in nonprofit accounting and preparation of Form 990 EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Certified Public Accounting (CPA) accreditation may substitute for not having a major in Accounting - however undergraduate degree should show a GPA of 3.5 towards major and overall. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: This person will have: * Experience accounting for endowed funds with donor restrictions * Experience working with Blackbaud Financial Edge * Strong organizational skills * A proven ability to produce results in a highly deadline-oriented environment * Strong analytical ability with the interpersonal skills needed to communicate, apply good judgement, discretion, confidentiality, patience and understanding necessary for dealing effectively with a diverse body of professional colleagues and staff * The ability to work in a collaborative environment not only within our Foundation, but also between Foundation and Hospital staff Ideal candidate should have the following qualities: Strong work ethic and integrity, self-confidence with high self-motivation, reliability, flexibility, desire to learn or develop new procedures and processes that benefit the Foundation. Ability to remain receptive and open minded to others' ideas and opinions with a healthy sense of accounting acumen to ensure the Foundation continues to follow required financial reporting, GAAP, and related regulatory requirements. Salary Information Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $103,000.00 to $143,000.00Hourly Salary Range: $49.52 to $68.75 Benefits Information Here, you matter.
