Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Diagnose and repair defective mobile, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing equipment.
2. Troubleshoot, repair, install, and service compressors and other process equipment.
3. Perform inspections, installations, and alignments of equipment, and troubleshoot any equipment failures.
4. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the Process Code System and Internal Combustion System.
5. Repair, replace, and fabricate parts for worn items as required.
6. Perform preventative maintenance on equipment using knowledge of vibration analysis, oil analysis, and thermography.
7. Read machine drawings, blueprints, pipe diagrams, and flow sheets.
8. Lubricate and clean parts.
9. Perform welding repairs as needed using arc, wire, tig, and gas welds.
10. Use cutting torches to cut and lay out basic designs.
11. Initiate purchase orders for parts.
12. Maintain specified records of work performed, details of repairs, and materials usage.

Additional Responsibilities:
1. Operate mobile equipment to lift and transport materials, including loaders, cranes, man-lifts, brick-lift, and forklifts.
2. Ensure daily preventative maintenance is performed on vehicles and mobile equipment, which may include fueling, cleaning, and checking/adding fluids as needed.
3. Follow all PPE requirements and safety rules and guidelines for all tasks being performed.
4. Assist in training of coworkers as needed.
5. Maintain communication with coworkers through two-way radio and hand signals.
6. Demonstrate ability and willingness to work as part of a self-directed team with limited supervision.
7. Maintain work areas and equipment in clean and orderly condition.
8. Exhibit engagement in GBS tools and methodology.
9. Have basic computer skills, specifically, SAP experience.
10. Perform all other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
* High school diploma or GED.
* Understanding of shop mathematics with the use of drawings, specifications, charts, tables, and precision measuring instruments.
* Intermediate knowledge of mobile equipment maintenance and repair in an industrial setting.
AAS in industrial maintenance and maintenance reliability certifications are preferred.
Diesel Mechanic certification is preferred.
3-5 years' experience working in an industrial environment in a position containing a routine maintenance component is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to climb stairs, climb ladders, reach, squat, tolerate prolonged standing/walking, balance, bend, operate mobile equipment, crawl, kneel, and push and pull objects.
* Ability to reach, squat, and tolerate prolonged sitting.
* Ability to lift to 70 lbs.
* Ability to operate hand controls with both hands and foot pedals with both feet.
* Ability to perform sustained overhead reaching.
* Ability to work in extreme ambient temperatures up to 160F.
* Ability to work in cramped quarters and at heights.
* Ability to work a rotating shift schedule including days, nights, and weekends.
* Ability to tolerate working in areas where noise levels can reach 120 decibels.
