Our Benefits Team is seeking a Benefits and Wellbeing Analyst who will be responsible for administering our leave of absence processes by providing guidance and support to employees and managers, as well as acting as the liaison with our third-party leave administrator.
General Responsibilities:
As part of the Benefits & Wellbeing team,
the ideal candidate will have a strong leave administration background with experience in a full suite of benefit offerings including health and welfare plans. To support your work/life balance, this is a hybrid opportunity with the ability to work from home four days a week. Human Resources gets together in-office each Tuesday to make connections and collaborate.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
Review, analyze, audit and reconcile benefits and leave programs.
- Provide day-to-day information and assistance to employees, managers and other corporate departments on benefits & wellbeing, policies, guidelines and programs.
- Recommend and implement health promotion activities including health education seminars, wellness challenges, etc.
- Implement wellbeing programs to increase employee recognition and appreciation throughout the company.
- Participate in benefit benchmarking surveys through the collection and reporting of data to third-party vendors.
- Administer employee benefit programs such as medical, dental, vision, and supplemental benefits.
- Administer the Leave of Absence plans including the coordination of short- and long-term disability and FMLA. Coordinate with third party leave administrator to ensure the proper leave type has been administered against the business requirements document. Counsel with employees and supervisors concerning employee benefits including leave of absence, as well as communicate with management and office staff to process leave of absences and maintain confidentiality of all information.
- Maintain relationships with internal partners, third party administrators and other vendors.
- Monitor cost, usage and feedback of benefit plans, wellbeing and work-life programs on an on-going basis and make recommendations for improvement.
- Coordinate and oversee Wellbeing Champion meetings.
- Handle benefits invoicing and funding, calculations and routine reconciliations with accuracy and in collaboration with payroll and external vendors. Conduct audits and provide reporting. Work directly with vendor on any billing adjustments, as needed.
- Ensure accuracy of benefits enrollments by performing regular audits of benefits-related data.
- Support and assist onboarding newly acquired companies; assist in the benefit enrollment process and provide detailed information regarding the wellbeing program and discounts.
- Develop and maintain process documentation to ensure consistent, accurate, and repeatable processes, as well as identify and recommend process improvement opportunities for maximum efficiency.
- May provide backup support in the review and processing of employee life event changes impacting employee benefits
- Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
- Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field and a minimum of 3 years' related experience. Or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 7 years' experience.
- Working knowledge of HR platforms and capabilities including Oracle and ADP.
- Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements both adopted and pending affecting employee benefit programs, including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, Section 125, Workers' Compensation, Medicare, Social Security and DOL requirements.
- Advanced experience with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
Preferred Certification:
- SHRM or HRCI certification
