Purpose: Direct, coordinate and manage Global Technical Service Operations needs through the Largo, FL facility at ConMed. General Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement global technical service policies and processes for optimal device servicing and repair.
- Align 3rd party and global repair center strategies to maximize customer uptime, revenue, and compliance.
- Ensure timely communication and collaboration with the sales force for seamless technical services.
- Create procedures that ensure compliance, customer benefit, and cost-effective service.
- Hire, retain, and engage talent to achieve high customer satisfaction.
- Oversee customer and internal repairs, managing demo, loaner, and sample equipment.
- Ensure alignment of processes from sales to case closure with speed and accuracy.
- Maintain regulatory and compliance standards globally.
- Drive continuous improvement across global service.
- Oversee daily intake and outbound activities for repairs and loaner products.
- Ensure products are repaired satisfactorily and comply with ConMed's Quality System.
- Plan and organize teams to meet customer and sales force needs.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of the customer-facing team and global operations.
- Continuously adapt the repair and service organization to new demands and strategies.
- Hire and develop future leaders and technical experts.
- Engage with leaders in Operations, Customer Service, Marketing, and Sales.
- Implement best practices for operational and customer-facing activities.
- Develop and improve key operational metrics.
- Responsible for management of operational and capital budgets.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 7-10+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing or service operations.
- Hands on work experience with logistics management, warehousing, fulfillment, inventory management, order management systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working for multinational medical device technology companies
- Master's Degree
- Strong background in problem solving, performing complex tasks, and working on complex projects in a time sensitive environment.
- Proven success in generating innovative solutions including challenging paradigms, leveraging diverse resources, and evaluating multiple solutions.
- Strong analytical /quantitative/ system skills.
- Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to drive results through a global and multi-cultural matrix structure.
- Proven ability to communicate and present to all levels of the organization.
