Job Description

Visa Technology & Operations LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Sr. SW Engineer (multiple openings) in Atlanta, GA to:

  • Develop enhancements and modifications to existing software and develop extensible code that complies with design specifications and meets security best practices.
  • Implements automation to improve effectiveness and efficiencies of systems and tools and supports development and implementation of new automation.
  • Engage with product engineering teams and product owners during code/design reviews, regular meetings, on-call rotations, and incident responses throughout product development and operations cycles.
  • Leverage advanced knowledge of systems/platforms and telemetry analyses to propose isolated improvements in code, processes, and designs to more effectively deliver customer/business objectives.
  • Position reports to the Employer's Atlanta, GA office and may allow for partial telecommuting.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a software engineer-related occupation.
  • Java programming.
  • Spring, Hibernate, and RDBMS technologies.
  • REST and JSON.
  • Agile development incorporating TDD, CI/CD, Git, Maven, and Jenkins.
Additional Information

Worksite: Atlanta, GA

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Travel Requirements: This position does not require travel.

Mental/Physical Requirements:This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $105,227.00USD to $155,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
