As a Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (CPNP-AC) or Physician Associate with our Hospitalist team, you'll have the opportunity to care for patients across the Hematology-Oncology specialty on our inpatient units in conjunction with other APPs, nurses and physicians. Covering service time on the inpatient chemotherapy service during the day and taking care of our 17-bed inpatient floors at night. This role also cross-trains to cover patients triaged to acute care clinic and any urgent concerns of patients in our infusion center. The nature of this role can be intense and variable and includes a rotating schedule between days and nights, weekends and holidays.

Works collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary healthcare team. Provides care for patients within the inpatient setting on a chemotherapy service and overnight coverage. Also has time in the acute care clinic setting. Addresses both acute and chronic issues in managing disease and treatment-related complications. Collects, documents, and analyzes patient data; collaborates in the development and implementation of treatment plans; coordinates patient care with ancillary clinical services; makes appropriate referrals to consulting medical staff; provides follow-up to referring physicians; may orient or precept students and new staff.
