Security Officer - Retail Patrol

As a Security Officer - Mall Patrol in Rockville, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling designated retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols and engaging with the public to provide exceptional customer service. You will be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, always acting with integrity and putting people first. This position does not require driving or carrying arms, but a guard card or license is preferred, along with prior experience in security and customer service.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service by implementing security procedures and site-specific policies, and engage in emergency response activities when necessary.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations with a calm and problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business premises and its perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions depending on the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Applicants must have at least 1 year of security experience.
• MD Security Professional Guard Card required.
• Possession of a valid Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
